I am a retired citizen, a student of Sri Aurobindo, and an independent-minded Indian. I have no political axe to grind. But I strongly disagree with India’s increasing strategic alignment with the USA and Israel. India cannot aspire to be a Vishwaguru while allowing its foreign policy to increasingly orbit around another po wer. We need strategic autonomy — close relations with Russia and Iran, serious efforts to mend ties with China, and constructive relations with the USA, Europe and the rest of the world.
