My experience of 38 years within the governments of India and Australia has been priceless. EVERYWHERE I see government corruption and incompetence. It is an instinct, now.
The government is the MOST harmful thing in the world.

Yeah in the discussion one did get the impression that Dayananda came after Vivekananda. Perhaps the discussion could have even started with Ram Mohan Roy to show how Christianity impacted Hindu society & the thoughts of its leaders https://twitter.com/im_suketu/status/1722153864139604072?t=5s-7Fu0DR9KYb5uTwvPmbw&s=19
Vivekananda tried to raise a new religion around Ramakrishna and Nehru attempted the same around Gandhi. Both failed but count as important milestone in reforming Indian society. Savitri Era Religion with The Mother & Sri Aurobindo as inspiration is the real option for the future
Being from the RKM background, many Hindutva intellectuals hold high regard for Vivekananda. But over the last five years, the message has spread gradually that Sri Aurobindo is a far more original and authentic thinker. This will grow as more and more people will read his books.
I have been writing on The Mother & Sri Aurobindo since 2005 and here on X from 2012. I have been trying to bring clarity and transparency to their complex legacy since it's difficult for any newcommer. But unfortunately, people don't read my posts and prefer their own ignorance.

EM Forster, Howards End. When Tonbridge alumnus EM Forster wrote in Howards End, 'Only Connect', he was encouraging the reader to make the connection between the head and the heart, between thought and feelings. Only then, so his argument goes, can we live a life of purpose and become a force for good. Google
James Baldwin — Google “One writes out of one thing only--one's own experience. Everything depends on how relentlessly one forces from this experience the last drop, sweet or bitter, it can possibly give. This is the only real concern of the artist, to recreate out of the disorder of life that order which is art.”
― James Baldwin, Notes of a Native Son
