Presently, Auroville is vertically split into two factions but both are obfuscating the issues as road vs. the trees. Matrimandir, standing at the centre of Auroville, is the most important sacred place for the devotees of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo and govt should vacate it.
Nothing more paradoxical than those espousing mythology and rituals sitting in judgement over whether Sri Aurobindo interpreted the Veda correctly or whether he and The Mother should be worshipped as the Supreme Divine. Matters of faith can't be measured through an analytical way.
The divinity and the philosophy of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo is the only reliable one in the present condition. There is no compromise on this aspect and we are demanding recognition of our new religion on bona fide claims. Auroville should be returned to the devotees forthwith.
The Mother & Sri Aurobindo have avoided promoting mythology, astrology, ayurveda, chanting, rituals, or any form of faith-healing. Devotees should take care not to be involved in such activities nor let their premises be used on commercial considerations. Quackery has no place.
