Auroville is a seed placed in the soil carefully chosen by the Divine. It has to spread its roots to absorb spiritual nourishment and then grow extending branches to attract all the birds without distinction that seek the fruits of wisdom it bears. Happy to see Auroville grow!

Radhika Di, on this note and the way the George Soros saga unfolded, by sheer luck got hold of a treasure-house of e-books of The Complilations of #SriAurobindo and #TheMother by Jamshedji Mavalwalla -

Vrtra is sometimes visualized as a serpent or a dragon. The word comes from Vritti, which is the cyclical habit from past actions. Yōga is the cessation of all Vrittis in the mind. It leads to Union with Indra and the other Dēvas.
Does one preserve one's individuality once in #Vaikuṇṭha? Again, some draft thoughts by me on my blog and on #IPhBlog:

Casteists try to mock Sadhguru/Sri Sri Ravi Shankar just like they do with Modi/Sangh indeed w/ broad umbrella of Hinduism.
People who otherwise complain that “religion” is an Abrahamic category deliberately overlook when Dharma-which is universalist and pluralist-is celebrated.

Yes Shiva is for everyone. So is Shakti. So is Surya. So is Ganesha/Vishnu etc. And Their infinite manifestations across the world - no matter the semantics. In fact for monists, even These are but One. But without the Totalitarian Exclusivity. Spirituality perforce is diverse :)
What works for you works for you. What works for me works for me. Mutual respect. But if you criticise other Dharmikas and try to distribute certificates, be prepared to listen. Sadhguru is anyday better than any casteist Guru who compares intra-Hindu marriages to bestiality. Om.
Many of Christian/Muslim backgrounds exist who are open to Hindu spirituality and revival of various global polytheist past traditions.
Some Dharmic temples/traditions can be closed to them which is 100% fine and some can be open to them which is 100% fine. This is our strength.
The same Bhagwat who wants to end exclusive Jaati-Varna overlap aka caste has also earlier said we have to talk of quota tweaks even a "second look". I agree fully but for latter former has to end in toto. No exception - certainly not with the bogus (khota) claim of authenticity.
The same Modi who these casteists complain about incessantly got the EWS quota. Which is a landmark step towards an eventually caste-free society and polity in India. Caste has been global and feudal - just that it got intertwined with a decentralised Hindu pre-industrial matrix.

Precisely! The insecure trads somehow wanted to control the crowds! On one level, they say Hindus are apologetic in celebrations & gatherings..do not have sense of unity etc...when ppl celebrate together....they say Shivarathri is not a concert but a private japa/tapas affair!
Sadguru / Sri-Sri attract censure as they misrepresent the religion and attempt to secularize ideas and practices that are mainly religious
Not because they are "inclusive" or take a more relaxed view of caste / varNa
It is baseless to view all their critics as "casteists"

Bryant became Hindu later. Surely not hindu when traditional gurus encouraged him in his early years

They get criticized because they strip everything Dharmic from our festivals and practices and replace it with metaphysical mumbo-jumbo, not because of their views on caste.
I never considered myself a Trad in the past but after being bombarded daily about the "evils of idol worship", the "universal astronomical significance" of Hindu festivals & the usurpation of Yoga, Ayurveda, Dhyana Yoga, etc. - I am starting to appreciate my inner Hindu Trad.

Earlier I used to bristle at the labels, but these days I feel like just embracing it. Who cares if others label standing up for our Dharma as Trad. Hua to hua
Why do we need to repackage Hinduism to have universal appeal when the basis itself is all inclusive & plural?
By taking the "Hindu" out of our traditions to remold them as "secular universal" philosophies we only erode the roots of our spiritual systems & dilute our identity.

This has been a successful marketing strategy so far i.e. selling uncredited Hinduism. The majority of Deepak Chopra's books have Hindu philosophy. Each one mentions Jesus' name and you rarely would see Hinduism/Ram in it unless derogatorily in the list of organized religions. 1)
Similarly, I see a lot of traditional Hinduism vs dehinduized Hinduism from Sadhguru carefully dosed today to spoonfed Hindus, and the next day deHinduized one to West. Brahm Kumaries have a funny theory of Yugas but they also delete 'Hindu' portions in the West. 2)
When I attended their lectures, they have a story of the yuga cycle which a child in the 7th class can demolish. And they repackaged whole stories of Yugas to align with Xtianity as they say Earth was created 6000 years ago, so they fit all yugas in that 6000 years. 3)
They are so confused souls, they teach you Ramayan was written in Treta yuga which is technically only 2500 years ago according to them, but it "happened" in "Kaliyuga", they give an age of last 1250 years. The supreme source for them is Shiv Baba (4)
But that Shiv Baba is not Bhagwan Shiv, in fact only nirakaar roop of the supreme source. They are a huge advocate of celibacy same as the catholic church. Celibacy is a recent religious doctrine post-Christianity. Only a handful of our rishi muni was celibate in Vedic times. (5
Their first criterion is "Only that form of God is acceptable which is approved by all religions", so they don't say that outright but probably that is why removed the concept of moorti pooja altogether to fit themselves with Abrahamic traditions. 6).
To be Traditional is essentially to be rooted in one's culture, religion, rites and rituals. At the very least, to be knowledgeable and have belief. To be considerate and not dogmatic. To be able to evaluate and pass on. Orthodoxy is not the same as Traditional.
Today is birth anniversary of 2nd RSS Chief Golwalkar (GuruJi).
He changed RSS’ ideology from #Hindutva to #PseudoHindutva by substituting Hinduism with Nationalism.
He fathered anti-Hindu nonsense like All Religions Same, Same DNA, All Indians are Hindus which #Chaddis parrot.
Democracy has no meaning without free flow of ideas. If foreign money can build power plants & railways, it can also help build minds. Mental infrastructure & physical infrastructure can't have different rules .
Informed choice is the essence of liberal democracy

Manabasa or Lakshmi puja in Odisha emphasises upon cleanliness, regularity, and order. When The Mother too insists upon such qualities, she is not simply reiterating the Puritan ethics but drawing from the Vedic essence of things as elaborated in The Mother book by Sri Aurobindo.
